The beaches around Haderslev
The white sandy beaches stretch along the entire coastline of the Little Belt. On the water and in the water you should always be careful, but the beaches of the Little Belts are some of the safest and most child-friendly.

Family-friendly beaches
The beaches at Flovt, Halk, Hejsager, Kelstrup and Diernæs are all safe blue flag beaches. If you love to hunt for fossils, pop over to Råde Beach, where there are fossilised sea urchins and belemnites. Another popular place to bath is Vedsted Sø Lake, which has excellent bathing amenities.

Flovt Strand
East of Haderslev is Flovt beach. A really nice sandy beach with a lovely sandy bottom. The beach is close to a large protected nature area.

The beach at Diernæs consists mainly of fine sand with few stones. The seabed off the beach consists of sand and medium-sized stones.

Sandersvig Strand

Ørby Strand
Ørby beach is located north-east of Haderslev. The seabed at the beach is mainly fine sand. There is a large jetty and there are benches along the beach.

Aarø Sydstrand
Aarø Sydstrand is located next to Lillebælt on the southern part of Aarø. The beach is 300 metres long and 5 metres wide. There are some stones on the beach itself.

Aarøsund Strand
The beach consists of fine sand with a few pebbles. There are several stones at the water's edge. The seabed off the beach consists of fine sand with a few pebbles.
