The green oases

It's not just the forests that offer green relaxation. Throughout the Sønderborg Municipality, you'll find castle and city parks that are open to the public.

The beautiful dissemination garden in Gråsten was created as part of the cross-border collaboration "Blomster bygger broer" (Flowers build bridges), and here, "Vild med vilje" (Wild with purpose) takes center stage.

The palce garden in Gråsten attracts several thousand visitors every year. From mid-June to mid-August, the area around Graasten Palace, including the palace garden, is closed to the public, allowing the royal family to vacation in peace at Graasten Palace. However, during the residency period, there is still access to the Royal Kitchen Garden, located at a separate address.
