Coastal fishing
The east coast of Sønderjylland offers a wealth of exciting fishing spots. Depending on the time of year, you can catch sea trout, flatfish and garfish. Irrespective of whether you prefer fly fishing or spin fishing, you can be sure of finding a good spot.

Fishing at Aarø
On Aarø you can catch trout and flatfish, among other things. It is possible to bring your car across on the ferry, so you can leave it on Aarø instead of in Aarøsund.

Fishing at Årøsund, east of Haderslev – you can fish at the pier. Here, you can catch trout, garfish, and mullet. The current can be very strong, so caution is advised.

Fishing in Hejsager Beach
Southeast of Haderslev located is Hejsager beach, where you can fish from the shore.
You'll find the following species of fish: trout, garfish and flatfish.

Southeast of Haderslev lies Halk. Here you can catch trout, mullet, garfish, and flatfish. Part of the area is military. Training exercises at the site are signalled by a flashing light.

Fishing in Tormaj
Southeast of Haderslev lies Tormaj, where you can go fishing. However, be aware of the protected area at the Hoptrup River. At Tormaj, you can catch trout, mullet, and garfish.
