01/01 - 31/3: Catching eel is prohibited!

Please note
From 1 January 2024, it has not been allowed to catch eel for recreational anglers in the seas around Denmark and thus also in the Western Baltic Sea.

It is not a closed season imposed by the Danish authorities, but rather a catch restriction set by the EU, which applies to all of Denmark.
