Near Haderslev you will find a unique lake, Vedsted Lake. The lake is one of the cleanest lakes in Southern Jutland, and one of the only lakes suitable for bathing and swimming. The lake brings great joy to the locals in Vedsted and the surrounding area, but also to people coming from outside the local community.

Vedsted Lake is handicap friendly:

There are handicap-friendly access roads
There is changing rooms and toilets
During the summer months there is a lift

In addition to this you will find tables and benches in a scenic area, so you can enjoy a packed lunch in lovely surroundings.

And good news for those of you who enjoy swimming in the colder months: A sauna has been established at the area. The sauna will be turned on from the 15th of October to the 15th of April - so now you can get warm after a swim in the lake!

Please note that all sailing on Vedsted Sø is prohibited, including with paddleboards.
